We started to raise heritage hogs because their meat is different than anything you can buy at the market. The marbling of a Berkshire resembles that of a prime piece of beef. It’s particularly known for its fat and intense flavor. The fat melts through the meat making it luscious and buttery. The juicy and smoky flavor ends with a creamy finish.
All of our meat is USDA certified, vacuum sealed and frozen for freshness. We offer select cuts, whole, half, and quarter pigs. All of our pigs are raised outdoors where they are allowed to live like pigs. They have plenty of room to run, enjoy the warmth of the sun to dig and wallow in the dirt. Our hogs enjoy a rich diet of spent brewer’s grain, excess vegetables from local farms, corn and alfalfa, all of which allows the meat to develop a richer flavor. Our hogs are raised naturally with no added hormones or antibiotics.
